April 3, 2008 Our members visited the Kiwanis Taman Tun Dr
Ismail's Centre for Children with Learning Disabilities at Damansara Perdana. We brought 18 boxes of cereals
sponsored by Breakfast Cereals Nestlé, 3 tins of assorted biscuits sponsored
by Firoza (a friend of SISA) and Faridah, 20 Disney pencil boxes, 19 boxes of Stabilo colour pencils sponsored by SISA, and macaroni
and fruits sponsored by Hamidah (a friend of SISA).
Members joined in the children's singing session, and it was time well spent. |

December 14, 2007 A trip to Janda Baik was organized to look into having
workshops to teach pearl design to a group of 20 mentally challenged children
of various ages in the Pendidikan Dalam Kommuniti programme.(PDK). Educational toys were given to the children. |

Pediatric Surgical Ward. |

workshop “Skills for Independent Living” was conducted at WIM, Taman Tun Dr
Ismail, Kuala Lumpur from 2.30 pm to 4 pm. The facilitator was Mrs. Prabha
Devi Sundram. This workshop was held to teach us on how to deal with Learning
Disabled (LD) children, so that we can be better informed on how to carry out
our projects with them |

July 14, 2007 We visited twins, Stephanie and Tracy,
who are suffering from kidney failure at Pediatric Nephrology Department,
Hospital Kuala Lumpur. We gave them colour pencils, colouring books and a
donation of RM100 from generous
friends to their mother, Serena. |
